As we’ve seen with the Cupra Ibiza, SEAT is taking its performance models to the next level with its standalone Cupra range. And the Cupra Ateca will be the first car from the new brand. The 296bhp, all-wheel-drive version of SEAT’s SUV features a 2.0-litre petrol turbo, seven-speed dual-clutch auto and adaptive suspension to give performance worthy of the aggressive bodykit.

The new brand claims its Ateca will accelerate from 0-62mph in just 5.4 seconds and have a top speed of 152mph, while a selection of driving modes will firm up the suspension and pipe more engine noise into the cabin. Setting the SUV apart visually are quad exhausts and 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Other Cupra cars based on SEAT vehicles are set to follow the Ateca, with the possibility of a standalone model from the marque, too.Chek www.oktilli.com for more
