The third-generation Z4 will go back to a soft-top roof as BMW aims to once again take on the Porsche Boxster and Mercedes SLC.
The new car has been developed with Toyota, which will launch the GR Supra using the same platform. Both will be rear-wheel drive, while Auto Express understands the Z4 will have the choice of 2.0-litre four-cylinder or 3.0-litre straight- six engines.
